The service and who operates it

Bounty is an online marketplace for local physical tasks in Israel. Customers post a task and a price; Taskers – registered businesses – make offers; and the customer chooses who does it.

Service name
Bounty
Operated by
Imri Peretz

Bounty operates the marketplace: posting tasks, offers, choosing, securing payment through a third-party payment provider, chat and support. The task itself is carried out by the Tasker you choose, which is a registered business acting independently.

Bounty does not carry out tasks and does not employ Taskers. The service in a task is provided to the customer by the Tasker.

The service operates in Israel only, and all prices are in Israeli New Shekels (ILS, ₪).

Accounts and eligibility

  • The service is for people aged 18 and over.
  • You sign up and sign in with a mobile phone number and a one-time code sent by SMS.
  • Give accurate details, and use only your own account.
  • The verification code is personal. Do not give it to anyone, including anyone who says they represent Bounty.
  • One account is used both to post tasks and – for those approved as Taskers – to carry them out.

Posting a task

  • Post only physical, local, lawful tasks that you have the authority to ask for.
  • Describe the task, the place, the time and the price accurately, including anything the Tasker needs to know to do it safely.
  • Do not put phone numbers, email addresses, an exact address or other identifying details in the title or description – those fields are shown to other users.
  • No payment is taken when a task is posted. Posting does not guarantee that offers will arrive.
  • You can edit or cancel a task for as long as no Tasker has been chosen.

Offers and choosing

  • A Tasker can accept the asking price or offer a different one.
  • The customer chooses between the offers. Bounty does not assign Taskers automatically.
  • A choice takes effect only once the payment is secured. Until then the task is not assigned, and work must not begin.
  • Making an offer does not guarantee that a Tasker will be chosen.

Payment

  • When you choose a Tasker, you are shown the full amount to confirm, including any service fee that applies. The amount you confirmed is secured through a third-party payment provider.
  • If the payment cannot be secured, nothing is charged and the task stays open.
  • The payment is released when the customer confirms the task is done, or automatically if they have not responded within 72 hours of the Tasker marking it as done.
  • Reporting a problem keeps the payment held until the Bounty team reviews it and decides.
  • Payment-method details are given to the payment provider. Bounty does not store card numbers.

Bounty is preparing for launch and does not yet accept live customer payments. Once live transactions are enabled in the app, payments on Bounty will be processed through an authorized third-party payment provider.

Bounty’s service fees will be published in these terms before live transactions are enabled. Bounty will not charge a fee that was not shown to you before you confirmed the payment.

Cancellations and refunds are set out in the Cancellation and Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Taskers

  • Only a business registered in Israel may be a Tasker: an exempt dealer, a licensed dealer or a company. The Tasker declares the business and its number.
  • Joining involves providing business details, identity verification, giving payout details to a third-party provider, making declarations, and accepting additional terms for Taskers.
  • The Bounty team reviews every application and may approve it, return it for more information, or decline it.
  • Offers can be made only while the account is approved and meets the eligibility conditions.
  • A Tasker offers only on tasks they can carry out lawfully and safely, reports progress as it actually is, and marks a task as done only after it has been done.
  • The exact address and the customer’s details are used only to carry out the task.
  • Bounty does not promise Taskers any volume of work or income.
  • Money is not paid out to Taskers through the app today. Once live transactions are enabled, payouts will be made through an authorized third-party provider, to the account the Tasker gives that provider; the timing will be set out in the terms for Taskers.

Location, chat and privacy

  • Before a task is assigned, other users are shown only its area and a displaced point on the map.
  • The exact address is shown only to the Tasker who was chosen, and only while the task is active.
  • Chat opens after assignment, between the customer and the Tasker. The Bounty team can read a conversation – for example to look into a report or a dispute – and each such reading is recorded.

Conduct

  • Do not use the service for unlawful activity, harassment, threats, fraud or impersonation.
  • Do not ask the other person to move the arrangement outside the app.
  • Do not post content you have no right to use, or other people’s personal information.
  • You can report a task, an offer, a message, a review or a user, and you can block a user.
  • The Bounty team may remove a task, hide a review, suspend an account or stop an assignment when these terms are broken or when there is a safety concern.

Suspension of an account

  • A suspended account cannot post tasks or make offers. It can still sign in, see its own tasks and payments, read these documents and contact support.
  • Someone whose account has been suspended can contact support and ask for the decision to be looked at again.
  • A task that is already assigned, and its payment, are handled under the Cancellation and Refund Policy.

Reviews

  • After a task is completed, each side can rate the other and write a review, for 14 days.
  • A review is shown to the person it is about once both sides have written one, or when the 14 days are over. Reviews are not shown to other users.
  • A review cannot be edited once it is submitted. The person a review is about can report it.

What Bounty does not promise

  • That a task will receive offers, or that an offer will be chosen.
  • Approval of a Tasker is not a check of professional licences and is not a background check.
  • Progress updates are reported by the Tasker; there is no live location tracking.
  • Bounty does not provide insurance for tasks.
  • Bounty is not an emergency service.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights that cannot be limited by law.

Notices and communication

  • Bounty gives notices about the service inside the app and by push notification. Verification codes are sent by SMS.
  • These are service messages: about offers, assignment, progress, payment and the account. By using the service you agree to receive them electronically.
  • Push notifications can be turned off in your device settings.
  • Bounty will not send you advertising unless you have agreed to receive it, as the law requires.
  • A notice to Bounty is given through support in the app, or in the ways listed on the contact page.

Closing an account

You can ask for your account to be deleted at any time, from inside the app.

Changes to these terms

When these terms are updated, the new version is published on this page with its date. Where agreement to a new version is needed, the app asks for it. A change does not apply to a task that was assigned before it took effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Israel. Nothing in them takes away a right that the Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981, or any other law gives you and that cannot be waived.
