Whether you have to give the information
- You are under no legal duty to give Bounty information. Giving it is your choice and depends on your consent.
- Without a phone number, a name and a date of birth, an account cannot be opened.
- Without an address for a task, the task cannot be posted.
- Without the business details, identity verification and payout details, you cannot be approved as a Tasker.
- Access to the device’s location, and notifications, are optional: the app can be used without them.
What is not collected
- The app does not access your contacts, camera or photos.
- Location is not collected in the background.
- The app contains no analytics or advertising tools, and does not use an advertising identifier.
- Bounty does not store card numbers, images of identity documents or bank account details.
How the information is used
- To run the service: posting tasks, offers, choosing, carrying out and paying.
- To show tasks to users in the area.
- For safety: handling reports, blocks and disputes, and preventing misuse.
- To filter contact details automatically out of titles, descriptions, offers and messages.
- For support, for record-keeping and to meet legal obligations.
Bounty does not sell personal information and does not use it for advertising.
Providers that process information
| Provider | What for | What reaches it |
|---|---|---|
| Clerk | Signing in, and sending verification codes by SMS | The phone number and sign-in details |
| Address search, the map on Android devices, and delivering notifications to them; Bounty’s email mailboxes | What is typed into the address search; the area of the map being viewed; the notification token and the notification’s content; emails sent to Bounty | |
| Apple | The map on iPhones, and delivering notifications to them | The area of the map being viewed; the notification token and the notification’s content |
| Expo | Sending notifications | The notification token and the notification’s content: a first name and a price, never an address or the text of a message |
| A third-party payment provider | Processing the payment: securing it, releasing it and returning it | Payment-method details, which are given to the provider directly, and the transaction amount |
| Third-party providers for identity verification and for payouts to Taskers | Verifying Taskers and setting up their payouts | The details a Tasker gives them directly |
Some of these providers are international companies and may process information outside Israel. Bounty is preparing for launch and does not yet process live payments; the payment, identity-verification and payout providers will be named here before live transactions are enabled in the app.
How long information is kept
- Chat messages are deleted 365 days after the task they belong to has ended, unless it has an open dispute.
- Notifications in the app’s inbox are deleted after 90 days.
- Device location is not stored.
- Payment records and the activity log are kept after an account is closed, as financial records and as evidence in disputes.
- Records of tasks – including their address – and of offers, reviews, reports and support requests are kept after an account is closed, without the name and contact details.
Deleting your account
- You can ask for your account to be deleted from inside the app. Deletion is carried out 7 days after the request, and can be withdrawn until then.
- Deletion removes the name, phone number, email address, date of birth, business details, the device’s registration for notifications and the sign-in details.
- The records listed in the previous section are kept without the name and contact details, together with the record of the documents you accepted and, for a Tasker, the approval status and the references issued by the verification and payout providers. Free text you wrote is kept as it was written.
- If the account was suspended when it was deleted, a one-way fingerprint of its phone number is kept, so that the restriction also applies to a new account opened with that number.
Your rights and choices
- You can ask to see the information held about you, and ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, under sections 13 and 14 of the Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981.
- You can ask for your account to be deleted, as described above.
- Location and notification permissions can be changed at any time in your device settings. The app can be used without allowing location access, by choosing an address manually.

Security
- Communication between the app and the servers is encrypted.
- Every request is checked on the server: who the user is, and what they are allowed to see and do.
- The exact address is not given to anyone before the task is assigned.
- Actions by team members, and their viewing of account details, Tasker applications, conversations and support requests, are recorded.
- Backups are encrypted before they are sent to storage.
No system is completely secure. If you believe your account has been used without your permission, contact us.
Children
The service is for people aged 18 and over, and is not intended for minors.
This website
- The website itself sets no cookies and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
- The website has no forms, no sign-up and no payment.
- As with any website, the server that delivers these pages receives your IP address and browser details in order to answer the request.
- If you write to us by email, we receive your email address and what you wrote, and use them to answer you and deal with your request.
Changes to this policy
When this policy is updated, the new version is published on this page with its date. Where agreement to a new version is needed, the app asks for it.
